Originally opened in 1886 as a stagecoach stop and inn, Mattei’s Tavern has long been a beloved landmark in the Santa Ynez Valley. Today, it has been thoughtfully restored as a luxury Auberge Resorts property, blending historic charm with modern wine-country elegance.
